Behold me, Phillippa, the poet who could never in a million years post all
her poetry here . . . but thinks it would be quite amusing if she tried.
I actually wrote this thinking of a friend (who will remain nameless
because . . . no reason at all) who spends far too much time staring into
the mirror, in my opinion. Hate it, enjoy it, review, post it on your
mirror at home . . . just don't send flames, because flames are bad and
flaming poetry is silly anyway.

Look Away

Look away from the mirror, my friend.
For what you see will soon end.
For what you see may deceive.
What you see you might not perceive.

Look away from the mirror.
What you see there is not real.
It only shows you what you see.
Not everyone feels how you feel.

Come away, come away,
Come spend the day
With reality, come to me
And I'll tell you what I see.
