Gratitude

I tasted death on your lips
The sweet nectar burned my veins
Numbed every emotion I ever had
And I have you to thank.

A wish I could only dream about
The cleansing torment of mortality
The silent end to a chaotic melody
Shattering the threads of time.

I am cold now
Like the first winter's breath
Slowly fading into a dream
Which I shall never awake from.

You are my omega
My fire, my dark symphony
Your face will dance in my thoughts
For an eternity.
Thank you.
