Left Of Eden
Author:
bayshel-wass PM
Some vague political undertones; playing off the biblical term of Eden, but talking about how hatred has washed away that ideal. Ironically formed because of my frustrations of religion mixing with state to form hateful laws.

Left of Eden where the green grass grows
A river of hatred overflows.
The banks of Eden awash with flames
Words of love twisted to hate and shame.

The reactionary brushfire scours the land
Turning the flowers to deserted sand.

Left of Eden the hatred falls
Acid rain coats the pure, white walls
Forcing hatred across the absorbent land.

The veins of Eden awash with blood
The only sin in Eden is vile hate.
