These ghetto rains

Stay the same

Someone died

Someone cried

And the rains went on

And we didn’t belong

So out of place

In a world of hate

A stupid cliché

You don’t say...

But what do I care

If it’s not fair

Life is not a labor of love

There are no answers from above

So many tainted hearts

And how many families will fall apart?

You never understand

And it’s all in the plan

Whatever plan that is

So say goodbye to the kids

Wave and walk out the door

Trip and hit the floor

Blood will fly

And I will cry

You pick yourself up

And you find yourself corrupt

From when we talked

And when we walked

In those ghetto rains

These ghetto rains

That stayed the same

And someone died

And someone cried

And the rains went on

And we didn’t belong
