The tap-tap-tapping of the black

Rap-rapping

Your teeth drag across my spine

Liquidy lacey love in blood

My will has been disemboweled—I lay supine,

Harmless, a victim to your touch.

Rake your nails across my brain, get it over with

Already.

I am naked and I am clinging to your silvery breath

That snakes between my breasts

A snail trail between my breaths that

Sputter, short and quick, the evil twin to your

Warm, humid and erotic heaving puffs.

Excitement skewers me, exiting through my mouth

In the form of a caught vowel.

Can’t you see I love you? Can’t you see

That glass sphere that has grown in my heart?

That tumor of love I can’t seem to escape?

Get it over with already, crush me, take me, I’m yours.

End my misery, pull your skin across mine, say a word or two

Or three or maybe more. Give me a lifetime.

I love you.
