I make each step with deliberate ease
One foot in front of the other now
Head held high, but my eyes waiting to close
I’m in slow motion till you come around

I see the skeletons of their lives
But where do they really reside
Deep inside their private eyes
They lock up what’s inside

Where are our minds taking course
While the second hand makes its rounds
All light is dimmed and all noise muted
Until you come along turning up the sound

I see the skeletons of their lives
But where do they really reside
Deep inside their private eyes
They lock up what’s inside

A copy of a copy of a copy
Each day I go without your words
Is like a slow motion fast forward dream
My thoughts tripping and becoming slurred

I see the skeletons of their lives
But where do they really reside
Deep inside their private eyes
They lock up what’s inside

No one walks, no one talks
The way they feel about their life
When walking the tomb halls
They project what you reflect all in lies.
