Stillborn Beauty
By: Lai

Whoever thought she would have captured your heart,
Before a breath that would never come,
They're taking her away, this is the sad part,
Empty hands that she was ripped from.

She's your stillborn child,
She'll never know what it's like when you love her,
You'll never see the smile,
Of your stillborn daughter.

You'll never know what she thinks
Of the room that you prepared,
Remember how you painted it pink,
Do you think she'd love it?

At least you never had to watch her die,
At least she'll never miss the joy of living,
At least she'll never see you as you cry,
Do you think life's still worth living,
Without your stillborn beauty?
