Winter Lover Song

I see your eyes,

Watching me as I watch you breathe,

Trying to memorize the beauty of your life.

I smell the pine trees on your neck,

I taste the snow kisses on your cheek,

I touch the velvet of your lips,

I see your thoughts of fragile glass,

I hear the ballad of your soul.

Your lips quirk up in a smile

As unselfconscious as the day you were born,

My heart glows as you begin to laugh.

I smell the cinnamon on your breath,

I taste the chocolate on your lips,

I touch your warm familiar hands,

I see the happiness pour through your eyes,

I hear the ballad of your soul.

Lying warm and safe in your embrace,

I’m in delightful ecstasy,

I love you my winter lover, I love you.
