1 I am a seventeen year old boy. I just started my life however, just a couple of years ago. These days my life has revolved around a few things. I happen to like the way my life has been playing out. I have had a series of girlfriends, but I apparently haven’t found the right one yet. My friends at the time are very supportive of me. My grades are somewhat unstable, but I am managing. That is just a part of my life, but everybody has a passion. My true passion in my times is now this, writing.

When I started writing, a couple years ago... I had many failed stories. The first of which was ‘A Magical Journey’, a story of a boy who discovered his magical roots. Unfortunately I found out later on down the road that it was something of a Harry Potter rip-off.

After many rip-off type stories, I was left in a blank. I spent the next months thinking of a great idea for a story. Finally the month before my birthday(May 3rd), I thought of a great story idea. It revolved around my fantasies, and would start off with a personal beginning. Once again this idea was done. The story idea itself wasn’t done mind you, it was the beginning of it that was done.

You see The idea I had for the opening, would be actually the middle of the story. My title character would be talking to a reporter about his fantasy that he wanted fulfilled, only to find out that if everything was how he wanted, we would live in a world ruled by evil. His mind was an evil one. He compared his fantasies to movies. He compared his ideals to the ideals of Sauron, from ‘Lord of the Rings’. Little to my knowledge, from not seeing the movie that this scene copied... I had to rent it. Guess what, the people were right. As it would seem, I had accidentally ripped-off a movie called ‘Swordfish’. I know that almost everybody reading this would probably know this movie, and me loving John Travolta and all of his work... I destroyed this project.

Why did I tell you all of this pointless information? That would be, because it really does have a point. You see, there were many times that I wanted to write something like this, but I didn’t really know how to start it. This time around I think I nailed it, and found the right beginning for my story.

What is my beginning? Well that is pretty simple. People try to go for an action packed opening chapter, with a ton of description. I say what kind of description could be better than the description of my pre-teen life, the reason why I began writing in the first place.
