The Flood

Do you love me as you say
From dawn to the dying day
Would you wrap your arms around this shadow
Fight for me in many a battle
For in this shattered soul of mine
Deep down hidden from watchful time
Lies a woman to be hailed
Locked within a demons tale
Bound by ropes unseen by man
Will you love me for who I am
For if you say your love is true
Then let me tell you a secret too
My crippled heart or red & black
Struggles to keep her tune on track
For you to follow in the dark
To pass the trees of peeling bark
To find the moonlit field of snow
Follow the feathers of the craven crow
To the edge of the sirens shining sea
To find me, the image of Annabelle Lee
Where angels and mortals do not exist
Just us two in our dreams mist
So if you say your love is true
Let me say I love you too.
