Requiem for Lovers
Formerly titled Sextet for Lovers

Tether her tresses with fingers of
Dominance to throttle her dispirited trust
Perverse fixation to a porcelain face
Fractured where filtered tears bleed through
Beneath the terrain a tacit scream
Twisted with fury for his sin

Deliverance of fire, a fumbling virgin
Victim to lust and longing, befalls
A bitter, putrid bed. A manic
Fetish to molest his lover and
Fulfill disreputable wishes, a liaison that
Reeks of deceit and blind needing

Net to her falling, vulnerability lured
Him, exploiting Maslow’s hierarchy of needs
To fuck her; He masks repulsion
With fondness, abusing her prerequisite for
Belongingness to shape her into a
Slave to the fallacy of love

Dependence prevails, spreading her thin and
Scissored to provide him salvation of
Seclusion and desperation. Eyes round with
Guilty innocence, she provides a confessional
Between her thighs, a chasm gaping
To break their vow of silence.

Tumble into broken hearts, a breach
Of expectations. He jeopardizes his world
To resolve her self sexual depreciation.
Experimental love affair in the secrecy
Of a place neither knows. Compromising
Positions to keep each other sane.

Controversy resolved to diminish her pain,
Shards of her splintered character cradled
In his arms. Delighting her with
His devoted observation; willing to satisfy
Each sensual appeal or idiosyncrasy, reassembling
Her confidence with warmth she seeks.
