Now it is my turn to go,

The end of time at school.

Now I get to graduate,

And leave this kiddie pool.

It is the end.

It is the beginning.

I long to leave.

I long to stay.

I remember all my friends,

How we used to laugh and play.

Secluded from the world,

On our little floating cay.

It is the end.

It is the beginning.

I long to leave.

I long to stay.

I can’t forget the work,

And all they put us through.

The load we carry crushing us,

Sometimes I wished to sue.

It is the end.

It is the beginning.

I long to leave.

I long to stay.

Ne’er before left my family,

Now life will get tough.

Away from home, away from friends,

I already had enough.

It is the end.

It is the beginning.

I long to leave.

I long to stay.

I get to choose what I’ll do,

My path is now my own.

I get to hike now by myself,

I’ll be no one’s clone.

It is the end.

It is the beginning.

I long to leave.

I long to stay.

I leave my friends,

And all I knew.

If we’ll meet again,

I have no clue.

It is the end.

It is the beginning.

I long to leave.

I long to stay.

Now we get to leave the school,

We have a chance, be born anew.

The excitement of exploring,

A fresh and winding rou’e,

It is the end.

It is the beginning.

I long to leave.

I long to stay.

I wished to leave my prison,

To find a new one take its place.

We step out of our crimson egg,

To meet life’s gruesome face.
