I just can’t wait,

I wonder if he’ll be late.

I have waited so long for this day,

And now it is here without delay.

Soon now I will be wed,

To the one I will love till I’m dead.

My father will give me away,

To the one I will marry today.

I can hear my heart in my ears,

I see him smiles which brings me tears.

Yes LORD, this is the one I love,

Even when emotions rush over me like a flood.

I am crying and yet…

From here on there’ll be no regrets

My best friend has broken down and come to tears,

The one who has known me all these years.

She has loved me and stood by me all this time,

And when my light went out she was there again to make it shine.

But now she stands with me here

Taking away all my fear

I am slowly shaking

My heart is breaking

I push the second thoughts out of my mind

Remembering that it is now time

Before I know, I am a wife,

I kiss the one with whom I’ll spend the rest of my life.
