Shattered Dreams

By: K.S. Night

Dreams are made of glass.

They are broken with ease.

There are those who would break them

Without a second thought it seems.

Be careful of who hears your dreams,

And of who wants to know.

Some dreams may be too precious

For you to openly show.

People will discourage you,

Then crack your dreams in two.

They’ll cackle at your tears,

Then they’ll turn away from you.

But do not fret for long,

For dreams can be repaired.

And as you pick up the pieces,

Always, I will be there.

Together, we’ll pick up your dreams,

And put them back together.

Then you’ll go and you’ll dream on,

Always and forever.
