| Autumn Memories
Author: MagzRL I love Autumn. It's my favorite time of the year. The rain and the family gatherings make it worth all the allergies ;).

Allergy Season
The air is a bit nippy
So you have to put on a jacket before going outside
There's a loud 'shwae' as you step on the leaves
Their very colorful, shades of yellow, orange, brown, even red
There's that smell in the air
The smell of moisture
The air gets a little colder
Your cheeks turn pink
Trying to warm up you face you see
Your hair is all over the place
Time to zip up your jacket
Now pick up the rake and start gathering leaves
The pile is very tall
Tall enough to jump in
You'll get your clothes dirty
There are bugs in there
You might have to re-rake some of those leaves
But you don't care
There's an adrenaline rush that doesn't last long as you land
But long enough to make you want to try it again
And again, and again, and again
Your jacket's damp, and there are twigs in your hair
Until you have to get inside
And help mom start on dinner
The dinner's ready
After laughing and cooking with your mom
Your blood gets pumped, and you can't stop it
And you have your other family members with you
You know what that means?
TOUCH FOOTBALL!!!
You don't keep score
You just have fun
Laughing and smiling with your siblings
While your being suffocated from a pile of 'touchers'
And you know you can't run
So it may be better to watch instead
Suppertime!
Family gathers around the table
You tell them your news
They tell you their news
Together, you have the most fun until they have to go home
And goodbyes are always sweet and heartfelt
Overall, you're having a good holiday
Especially when you've got hot cocoa in your hands
And outside is a steady rain
The game is on
And your mind is full of memories for later to treasure
I'd say that beats the snuffly nose, cough, and nasal drip wouldn't you?
Happy Thanksgiving, from me to you!
