Our generation kills itself

It builds up hate and sorrow

But I put my fears upon the shelf

Can’t think about tomorrow

The children learn to hate each other

The evil planted in a seed

Men kill men, a brother, brother,

And hate our focus feeds

But hope holds true in glassy eyes

The smallest of our children

If we can teach not to despise

Our future won’t be broken

Just keep your face turned forward

loves lighthouse leading shoreward
