The Violence of Human Nature

I love my mother

I love my gun

I'm stuck in a world of shit,

And I'll shoot someone.

I try to have patience

I try and listen to reason,

But as I know

Reason is treason

To American woes

Blame me for what I've done

Kill a stranger for my crime,

We have the same skin

His guilt is as much as mine

Believe your religion

Follow your politics blind

Your morals are superior

To anyone with a different mind

Kill the enemy on different shores

Their death is not worth as much as yours,

And when their families die

It is right that we cannot hear them cry

The world is not on our side

They are more greedy than we

They are nothing like us

They are wrong and we are free

Humanity is reserved just for us

We are better and we are just

We preach what is true,

God is on our side, we are more human than you

This is why

When I try and understand the slow

When I try to reason with the dumb

I get nowhere,

So I release the terror,

And take out my gun.
