Stop bugging me; quit quizzing me
Why can’t you just leave me alone?
I hate you; don’t you understand?
I don’t want you near me; I want to be on my own

I’m sick of it, sick of everything
Why won’t you just let me be?
I don’t need you for anything.
I just need to be set free.

All you’re doing is trapping me
Making me feel like it’s all my fault.
Can’t you stop it just for a while?
Before I find a cliff and vault.

Every word you say is cryptic
You always have a hidden meaning.
But that meaning isn’t hidden very well
I see it. I see everything you’re feeling.

A mother’s love shouldn’t have to be fought for.
You’re not supposed to pick on me.
But if war between us is what you want
Then I guess it’s fine by me.
