Please note that I do not actually feel this way… this poem was just written for people out there that might.

My Softly Spoken Fears

My softly spoken fears,

Are ingrained within my mind,

My sorrow scratches at my skin,

As it gushes out my eyes.

It seems that my sanity has ended,

As if it never began.

The point at which ones own soul stops,

Is the point at which I am.

My silent self-destruction,

Starts corroding me away,

Another sickened piece of me,

Dissipates each day.

They laugh and point and call me names,

Like I’m some kind of freak,

They only see a hardened shell of me,

Inside I am so weak.

And now…

My softly spoken fears,

Are infecting deep within my mind.

And my sorrow bleeds out black as tears,

As I am shunned from my own kind.
