The snow lands upon me but doesn’t melt away,
It clings to my skin and sinks within,
Adding to the emptiness.
Chilled from the inside.
Rain, hitting the ground without a sound,
It falls upon me, freezing in its place,
Forming a design on a blank space.
Chilled from the inside.
Standing under the blazing sun,
My body is cold and my skin pale,
Trying to find warmth.
Chilled from the inside.
The wind blows and scratches at my face,
But I don’t feel it as it tries to pry my warmth,
I have none.
Chilled from the inside.
