Eternity Away From Home

Sometimes I wish to stay in one spot forever.

Lying in the grass and watching the stars

Glittering from the inky black heavens.

Eventually I'd close my eyes, and start to drift;

Drift off into dreams away from reality.

Never would I open my eyes again.

Just sleep for eternity, living in dreams.

To let my dreams take me away,

Steal me away, kidnap me away,

Away from the harsh, cold world of reality.

Just let life pass me by whilst I sleep.

Of course, like all dreams though, I'd awake.

Slowly, I'd be released from that sweet

Oblivion of sleep, where I spent my days in dream.

An eternity later, that's when I'd awake.

Lost in that new world, and forgotten by all.

No memory of my long-lost past.

No longer could I sleep, for how could you sleep

After of an eternity of dreaming?

There I'd be; Lost, Forgotten, and Dreamless

An eternity away from my home.
