Volume 2 - Rise to Fame

If you help someone, you shouldn't always expect something in return, but with these two, I'm definitely going to give them something in return for everything they've been doing for me and Yota, plus Kotarou-kun when he comes.

Chapter 6- The Most Popular Girl

As dawn breaks, we all get ready for school, and the most important thing finally occurs to me. "What's Yota going to do while we're gone?"

"Oh that. Well, the servants will take care of him. He could do whatever he wants, just as long as he doesn't break anything." Jun-chan tells me.

That's not so bad. He's in a mansion, servants here to do his every bidding, and all the games and movies too. "That's cool. Let me go tell him." I go back into the bedroom to wake up little Yota. "Hey Yota, wake up little guy." I lightly shake him as he slowly opens his eyes.

"Yes onii-chan? What is it?" He asks me while rubbing his eyes.

"Me, Jun-chan, and Syao-kun are going to school now. You'll stay here with the servants. Jun-chan said if you need anything, just ask the maids. Be a good boy okay. You could play their games or watch movies if you want. I know you won't break anything. See ya later." I mess his hair a little bit then leave the room. "You go could back to sleep if you want." I tell him before exiting.

"Wait!" He yells to me before I leave. I stop and go back to the bed.

"What is it Yota?" I ask him.

"I don't want you to leave me. I'll be all lonely." He tells me with big worried eyes.

"Don't worry. I won't be gone too long. Get to know the people who work here, then maybe you won't be lonely." I suggest.

"Oh, okay." He sounds a little disappointed, but what can I do? I have to go to school as much as I want to stay here and stay with Yota, I can't.

"That's good." I give him a hug. "Go back to sleep, that'll past some of the time that I'm gone. Bye little buddy." I get up to leave. He instantly falls back on the bed and continues sleeping.

I smile at him, then leave. "So, is Yo-kun going to be okay?" Jun-chan asks me.

"He's going to be fine. If he has his freedom, then he's cool with it." I answer her, not saying any of the brotherly stuff.

"Come on. School starts in twenty minutes." Syao-kun informs us. We get our bags and get into the limousine. In a couple of minutes, we reach school. This, is going to be interesting, over a week ago Jun-chan came, now it's Syao-kun. I wonder how much better school will get.

Homeroom and it's just has to be my English teacher, Tanaka sensei. Oh how I despise her. Syao-kun stands in the front of class waiting for the evil one to introduce him to the class. "Class, I'd like to introduce you to yet another new student who used to live in the United States. Please welcome Syaoran Yukihiro. Please don't trample him with questions about his older brother." She tells the class.

So she knows that he's Kotarou-kun's little brother. I wonder how? "Thank you sensei. But as you know, I'll will only be here for a short time, about three months. I've already made friends with two of your students." He informs the lousy excuse for a teacher. I'm so mean.

"Really?" She looks kind of surprised, and a little worried. "Who?" She then asks. It's none of her business!

Syao-kun smirks, what's he up to? "I'll show you at the end of class." He's planning on doing something. Maybe Jun-chan told him about her and he's going to do something mean to her, I hope.

"Sure, you may take your seat now, the one two desks behind Tsuruoka-san." Tanaka sensei tells him. Syao-kun goes to his seat. While passing Jun-chan, I notice him winking to her. Okay, he's definitely up to something, but what? I guess I'll find out soon.

In a little bit, English class begins, oh boy, I wonder what thing I already know she's going to teach us now. I'd rather take lessons from Jun-chan and Syao-kun than from this witch, hmm maybe I will. Let's skip the rest of English class and go directly to Syao-kun's introduction of his new friends to the evil one. The lunch bell rings and before we leave, sensei stops Syao-kun from leaving.

"Uh, Yukihiro-san, before you leave, I would like to tell you how much I admire your work. I know your onii-san is the famous singer and is the public figure, but I also know that you're the one who writes and composes many of his songs, both English and Japanese." What? No way! Syao-kun's the one who writes and composes a lot of Kotarou-kun's songs! Wow!

"Why thank you sensei." He takes off his glasses and cleans them, why does he always do that? But before he continues, Witch-san says something before him.

"But I must comment on your strange hair. I don't ever recall seeing your hair looking so ... rebellious. You look like one of those punk kids we're always kicking off our campus." She tells him, pointing at the red covering the front and top and the black in the back of his head.

"Oh, that, you see..." I look at his face, he's going to joke around again. Oh Syao-kun, when will you learn? "When I was getting my hair washed and everything before I came here, my personal stylists accidentally tripped and spilt some red hair dye on my head. While she was trying to wash it out, the top and front of my head turned red. I looked like a rotten tomato then." He laughs a little, unlike the rest of us. "It almost seemed like I was having a fight while dying my hair and lost."

Then, he got slapped in the back of the head. "WHAT did I tell you about telling people stupid things?" Jun-chan yells at Syao-kun.

Evil-sensei then sweatdrops. "Uh, Tsuruoka-san, what are you doing here?" She wonders, as if it wasn't obvious already.

"Hmm, I don't know, maybe waiting for my best friend? No, it can't be that. I wonder, hey Syao-kun, can you help me out?" She says sarcastically. I never knew she was like that, maybe she's getting it from me.

"So you've met Tsuruoka-san already?" the evil one asks Syao-kun. Duh! Isn't obvious already?

Jun-chan answers for him. "Actually, we've known each other ever since his onii-chan became famous. In fact, I'm why you've even heard of Syao-kun. I discovered Kotarou-kun and got my tousan to make him a star." She informs the wench. She's shocked knowing that she once scolded the girl who made her favorite child song writer's work known.

"Well," she sweatdrops, "it's good to know that you already know someone here. It's been a pleasure having Tsuruoka-san here as well as you, Yukihiro-san." She tells them.

Liar, you're only treating Jun-chan well because you don't want to go through another session of being yelled at by her. "Didn't you say you also already know someone else here?" She then asks.

"Oh, of course! Here he is." Her suspicions were correct as I reveal myself to her.

The shock on her face is so priceless. I wish I had a camera, "So-kun. I met him once I got here. In fact, he's the whole reason I came here." In some weird way, an even more shocked expression covers her face, added with a very furious look.

"Is there something wrong sensei? Do you find my judgment of friends wrong in any way?" She doesn't say anything, maybe she's trying to contain her anger that I've made another friend, and one that she admires I might add. Way to go Syao-kun! "If you feel that way, I think we'll just leave now." Before we leave the room, "Oh, and one more thing, if you're going to be that way toward my friends, don't even think of ever talking to me, unless it deals with school. Plus ani is coming in a week for my friend So-kun, I'll put in a word to stay away from you. Good day to you." We exit the room and head for lunch.

Wow, she was ready to burst when we left. I wonder if she actually did. That's what she gets. I then turn to Syao-kun to congratulate him. "Way to go Syao-kun! You really got her in a way that she could never get you back!" I high five him.

"She deserves it. No one ever treats a friend of mine like that." He then gets silent of a little bit. I think he's thinking about something. "Now I understand what you have to go through here." Syao-kun finally understands my situation here. "The question is, how do we make a student who no one ever talks to, the most popular kid in school?" Syao-kun asks us.

"Well, we both are rich and could easily be popular if we wanted. Why don't we make friends with the other students and get them to know So-kun." Jun-chan suggests.

"That could work, we could also persuade some of the teachers to let him perform in any talent shows this school holds." Syao-kun adds. They're really going to go all out to help me. The least I could do is help them in any way I can.

"So, is there anything I could help with?" I ask the two.

"You could just sit on your pretty butt and let us work our magic on the school." Jun-chan tells me.

"Oh, uh okay." I'm a little surprised at the response I got from her.

"It's nothing to worry about So-kun. We can handle it, and from what Jun-chan told me, it's not like you could help anyway. No one will listen to you." Syao-kun reminds me.

"Fine, so what do you plan on doing first?" I then ask them.

"We're going to make you some friends." Syao-kun answers. He can actually do that? Maybe, he is the younger brother of the famous singer Kotarou Yukihiro. "First, you need to help us."

I nod and kind of surprised. Jun-chan just told me that I wouldn't be able to help, "Sure, with what?"

"Where do all the popular kids hang out? If we can get those guys to be your friend then it should be easier for you to be friends with everyone else." Syao-kun explains.

"But, it's also hardest to get the popular kids to become friends with 'the' most unpopular kid in school." Jun-chan points out, putting emphasis on the word the. Since when did I know what emphasis meant?

"When your part of a family of famous people, making friends with anyone should be a synch." Syao-kun adds, okay, he's getting a little big headed.

"Shut up Syao-kun, we know you could easily make friends, but will they goes as far as putting their reputation on the line just to be friends with So-kun. No offense." Jun-chan informs him.

"S'okay. She's right Syao-kun. I think that you should start from the more not cool kids then work your way up." I suggest.

We go eat our lunch outside in the courtyard. Syao-kun had one of the servants bring us a packed lunch fit for a king, or his kids. We then notice a huge group of kids walk by and see and very pretty girl in the center talking to everyone.

"Yo So-kun! Who's that chick?" Syao-kun asks. Did he just call her chick? I lie down on the ground and look up at the sky.

"That's Keiji Kinomoto a.k.a. the Angel of Mushiatsu." I inform them.

"Really, suits her." Syao-kun comments.

"Keiji? She has the same name as one of our maids." Jun-chan comments.

"But she's far from that. Her family's one of the richest in this city. I think they were the richest, but now that your family's here, that's not the case anymore." I tell them.

"So, why she called that?" Jun-chan then asks.

I get up from my laying position. "Let's see, where to start. I think it's the extreme beauty, president of all the cool clubs in this school, good at all the female sports here, has the admiration of all the teachers, and did I mention that she's the most popular student in school?" I end with a sarcastic question.

"Wow, all that. Must be some person. It'd be great if we could get her to hang out with you. That'd make it so much easier since, like you said, almost everyone likes her." Jun-chan comments.

"Dream on Jun-chan. You're the one who said that we shouldn't start with the cool kids first." Syao-kun reminds her.

"I don't know. I always sensed something about her. Like she's hiding something. Because everytime I pass her in the hallway or anywhere, we'd always catch each others eyes. I get the feeling that she's not purposely staying away from me. I'm not sure, but yeah, she's really something." I explain to them, getting a little red in the face, trying to hide that from them, but it doesn't work.

"Thus my eyes deceive me? Is So-kun blushing? Could it be that he has a crush on Keiji-san?" Syao-kun asks, already knowing the answer.

"Shut up, so what? I just find something very interesting about her. It's just not her looks, but it's also how she's kind of mysterious. I can tell that she's hiding something from everyone. Something that she doesn't want to reveal." I tell them. How did I know this in the first place?

"Really? We'll see about that!" Syao-kun walks up to Keiji-san. I wonder what he's going to say to her. As he approaches her, everyone else clears the path for him, why'd they do that? "Hello, I'm Syaoran Yukihiro." He introduces himself to her, being a stupid pretty boy by removing his glasses and waving his hair. The other girls with her become mesmerized by his looks.

One of the girls whispers, "Hey Kei-chan, this one's really cute. Why not ask him to be your date for the winter festival?"

Keijji-san nods her head and peeks over at me. When I realize that she is, she instantly turns back. "Nah, he's probably not my type." She then starts talking to him. "This is the first time I've seen you. You must be new." She informs him.

"Do you like, know everyone in this school?" Syao-kun asks her.

"Yes, so if I ever seen a face that I don't recognize, that person must be a new student." Keiji-san answers.

"So you've met and talked to everyone in this school?" I wonder where he's getting at.

"Yes." She answers.

Syao-kun then takes this opportunity to get her to talk to me. "So you should know my friend Sora Enokido-kun." He points to me. Keiji-san and the other kids with them turn to me.

"Who?" One of the kids asks.

Syao-kun then points again to me. "Him. That boy sitting beside my other friend Junichi-chan, who's like, attended this school his entire life." He says again.

"Oh, I know her. She's the one who dissed Tanaka sensei. Didn't you piss her off too?" Keiji-san asks Syao-kun.

"Why? Are you going to scold me or something?" He asks.

"No, I'm just happy that someone finally told her off. That woman gets on my nerves." Keiji-san states. Well, that's one thing we have in common, we hate Tanaka sensei.

"That's nice, now, about my friend So-kun, will you please come over and meet him?" Syao-kun then tries again.

"I'm sorry, but I have no idea who you're talking about." She's such a bad liar, but I think the other kids buy it.

Luckily Syao-kun doesn't and whispers to her, "You know, I'm not buying it. So-kun tells me that you've looked at him many times. Drop the act or else you'll suffer the same fate as Tanaka sensei." He threatens her.

"Excuse me, can all of you please leave? I need to talk to Yukihiro-san privately." She asks her friends. They all quietly leave and go somewhere else. Once out of hearing range, she nearly yells, "Who do you think you are, threatening me like that?" She puts her hands on her hips.

That instant he flips out his wallet. "So, you don't know who I am. We'll fix that." He takes out a picture with him and Kotarou-san in it and shows it to her.

"What? Let me guess, you're a Kotarou Yukihiro fanatic and you're showing off your picture with him to me. Wow, I may really like him too but it doesn't matter if other people know him also. I have all his CDs autographed by him personally." She informs him, thinking that Yukihiro is just a common name and that Syao-kun isn't his brother.

He then flips the picture and shows her the note. She takes it and reads it. "Hmm, to my little bro. Thanks again for the songs you wrote and composed for me, they're once again no. 1 hits for me. Your," she slows down, eyes widening "onii-chan, Kotarou." She then looks up at Syao-kun and screams.

"Shh, quiet down. I don't want the entire school all over me just because I'm Kotarou-kun's otooto-chan!" Syao-kun tells her.

She immediately settles down. "Oh, I'm very sorry. I was just excited. I'm sorry for being so rude." She bows a little.

"S'okay. Now that you're friends are gone, how come you won't talk to my friend, So-kun?" He asks.

"Yes, it's true, I know him, but you know that everyone loves me and what do you think would happen if my classmates and the teachers saw me hanging out with the one kid who everyone hates?" She asks him.

Syao-kun then looks at her all weird. "Me and Jun-chan have been sticking with him the entire time and no one seems to have a problem with that, only Tanaka sensei." He shakes his head a little. "Okay, tell me this, why do you, or any of the other students, stay away from him anyway?" Syao-kun asks.

She opens her mouth and realizes that she has no good answer. "Well, it's um, because the teachers told us to." What a retarded answer.

"That's it? That's not a good reason at all!" Syao-kun nearly yells out in outrage.

"But they threatened us, even the headmaster said." Keiji-san adds.

"You know, they have no right to do that. It's your choice to be with whomever you want. Has anyone here even given him a chance?" Syao-kun then asks. He's good. They might pull this off.

"Well, uh, I'm not sure if others have ever given him a chance." She says, looking a little guilty.

"I'm pretty sure that no one here ever gave him a chance, because if they did, they'd discover what a great person he is. Jun-chan and I were so surprised that he had no friends because he's such a nice and talented person." Syao-kun informs her.

"Talented? In what way?" Keiji-san asks, showing interest in meeting me.

"He can sing extremely well and from I heard from Jun-chan, he's a great drawer and holds promise as a writer." Syao-kun answers her question.

Fire then burns in her eyes, I wonder what she's thinking. Syao-kun notices this.

"Uh, is something wrong?" The fire immediately gets extinguished and goes back to normal.

"Really, wow, that's pretty cool. Maybe I'll give him a chance." Keiji-san comments. Syao-kun's the best, he just might make the most popular person in school hang out with me.

"Oh, and by the way, ani's coming in six days if you must know." Syao-kun tells her before she goes to me.

She turns directly to him. "WHAT??? No way! He's coming here! Why?" She asks really loud. Luckily no one else is listening.

"Ask So-kun, he'll tell you everything." He is good.

She runs to me and yells, "WHY IS KOTAROU-KUN COMING HERE??" Why is she saying kun? Has she met him already or something? Maybe she thinks that they're friends or destined to be.

I sweatdrop, I wonder what she's going to say when I told her that I'm the reason that he's coming here. "Well, uh, you see." I stand up. "He's kind of coming here because..." She looks at me with big eyes waiting for an answer. "he wants to meet me and help me out." Her jaw drops and her eyes nearly explode.

"WHAT????!!!!" She shrieks and falls to the ground. She immediately gets up and fixes herself. "I guess I have to face the facts. Okay Sora Enokido-san, you win. I'll give a chance to win me over." Keiji-san tells me.

"Really! Don't worry, I will not disappoint you!" Yes! This is my chance! If I can get Keiji-san to be my friend, then getting everyone to respect me will be much easier. Thanks Syao-kun, you're the best!
