I feel a touch of fear

Every time I drink

And get emotional

And apologise to everyone.

I see them huddled

In corners

Talking about what I said the night before

They are mocking

Or worried

Or do not realise

That I mean what I said with all my heart

And to get over the paranoia,

I have another drink
