Forgotten Memories

I forget the morning sun,

I forget its golden light,

And I forget how you bathe in it,

How you outshine it,

And how its beauty fades to yours.

I forget the falling rain,

I forget its feel upon my skin,

And I forget how you dance in it,

How you laugh in it

And how its gentleness fades to yours.

I forget the drifting clouds,

I forget their white wisps,

And I forget how you watch them,

How you see their shapes,

And how their softness fades to yours.

I forget the melting snow,

I forget its sharp chill,

And I forget how you play in it,

How you lie in it,

And how its coldness fades to yours.

I forget the biting wind,

I forget how it blows through me,

And I forget how you shiver in it,

How your eyes water in it,

And how its coolness fades to yours.

I forget the deep night,

I forget how hard it is to see,

And I forget how you smile in it,

How much you love it,

And how its darkness fades to yours.

But one thing I remember,

Is all I have forgotten.
