A single word can mean a lot
Some best remembered, others forgot.
A word for smiles, a word for tears
A word to remove all your fears

The winter cold has yet to come
Yet already has for the unfortunate some
Left alone in the dark and cold
Because you think forgiving's too bold

Words, many we've heard with passing time
Yet how many said are worth a dime
A nickel, a quarter or even a dollar
Say it, least your heart grow smaller

A single word, to a single face
And for many, the same case
A word to forgive, a word to forget
Can you say it without fret?
