Prologue

Back in the mists of time, there were six great families who ruled over the world. Each family took their name from an animal. The Fox family, the Wolf family, the Heron family, the Raven family, the Monkey family and the Lion Family.

Each family had a sacred relic to call their own. These were passed down through the generations. Alone, they were just symbolic trinkets but once brought together, they could give the power to rule the world.

In time, the families became corrupt and lost their power. Today, only a few descendants of those families still exist. Even the king isn’t from one of these families. The king doesn’t care for much outside his own capital, so the remaining descendants claimed some of his land as their own kingdoms. This tale involves Earl Gallane of the Heron Kingdom and the last remaining descendant of the Fox Family…
