Sonata Mariposa
By: Plastick Haruka

Butterfly’s wings are torn without a wince
The dream to fly disappears without a sigh
Move swift you tiny wings to catch one glimpse
No eyes dare shed a tear with her good-bye

The bird circles the black place of her death
Smiling in satisfaction of his win
With his own mouth he stifled her last breath
Trapping her with one crunch, she softly dims

Now the sweet honey mingles with bile
Corrosive juice burns wings once soft and bright
She floats down the black tube and down the aisle
Forever inside him, can’t see the light

The bird sighs and stops, knowing that it’s done
And so he flies to catch another one…

A/N: This was originally made for English class, but I decided I might as well put it up since it’s so exceptionally angst. This sonnet was actually inspired by the song, ”Macabre” by Dir en Grey, however ”Macabre” is the male perspective. So I guess this sonnet’s the female’s perspective….
