The Tears of the Sky

Forked lightning so blinding
The night made to day
Deep thunder earthquaking
A moment's delay

Smoked clouds of the heavens
Creep in to make shade
Comes canopy darkness
To the sky which they fade

Come 'gain roar of thunder
Come hear wind's fierce sigh
Flash there crack of lightning
So angels may cry

Rain splattering broken
To meet with the Earth
First drops have awoken
A tempest's new birth

Why cry, all you angels,
Bellow all you gods?
Slam fists clapping thunder
Set winds with a nod

Dry tears with the sunlight
Break through misty clouds
And smile with a rainbow
Soto you nature bows
