To help you readers, here is a list of the characters so far:

Kagome (-djujan) – beautiful and innocent high school student; has The Orb on her right palm. She will play a big role in this story.

Hiei (-richan) – another student in Kagome’s school. Black haired, purple-eyed violent and impulsive guy; he has The Dragon on his right palm.

Rand (-roakian) – Hiei’s cousin; new transfer to Kagome’s school. He is a mysterious, charming, very handsome, and heroic young man; he has The Phoenix Reborn on his right palm.

Li (-rhudan) – also a student in Kagome’s school. He is a quiet, wise, and sensible young man. There is much to be learned about him. He has The Falcon on his right palm.

Sakura (-maiez) – also a student in the school. She is rebellious, fierce, brave, and secretive; she has The Dewdrop on her right palm.

Azul Ivana – guardian of the gate between Gaya (Earth) and KiCe’Nedra. She is a very old, but strong and powerful woman – too aged to be beautiful, but captivating nonetheless.

The 3 Moons and a Warning

“Before you blow the roof off, Hiei-richan, let me remind you that she is vital to our plans. Without her, all that we have been fighting for will be rendered pointless. You know that sooner or later, she will find out anyway.” Li replied to Hiei’s outburst.

As the rest of those in the room watched him nervously, Azul Ivana walked in the room, seemingly oblivious to what was going on.

“Well? What are you all gawking around for?” She sternly asked them, “I thought you said you’re all leaving in a tsupa’s (hour) time. You best get a move on if you want to reach the Viener before nightfall.” At the sound of her voice, the spell was broken and everyone stood up and grabbed their things. Hiei’s glow disappeared, but the scowl remained on his face as he walked out of the house, his bag in his hand.

Kagome grabbed the backpack containing her portion of the food; extra clothes Azul Ivana had given her, and her sleeping bag. She slowly followed the rest of them outside. As she walked out of the house though, Azul Ivana grabbed her arm.

“May I speak with you a moment, Djujan?” she asked Kagome. Kagome nodded.

“Why do you call me that, Azul Ivana? What does “Djujan” mean?”

“The Promised One, of course. Now you just let me talk and save your questions for Li-rhudan. We have but a moment.” Kagome frowned in confusion, but nodded her head.

“Very well. Here is a travelling coat I want to give you for your journey. You shall have need of that before long. Also, an advice. Do not worry so much about travelling among strangers in this strange world of ours. I can assure you that you will be safe with them, with Rand most of all. I don’t believe that will be much assurance for you, I fear, since I am a stranger for you as well. But, please, do not worry. Your journey will most probably be a long one and it will do your heart and mind no good to be in a state of constant fear. Do not worry about your family back home as well; everything in Gaya has been taken care of. I know that you do not understand why you must be here and what this journey is for, but rest assured that all will be for the best. You will play an important role, so please do your best to obey what Li will tell you because he will make sure of your safety. A note of warning, however. Not all among you can be trusted. And not all with The Mark are true. Do not be fooled by these frauds, and you won’t be, as long as you completely put your trust in Li-rhudan and Rand-roakian.”

Kagome could feel her brain swirling around in confusion. She had so many questions, but no one would answer her. Azul Ivana’s warnings and revelations kept ringing in her ears. You will play an important role…Not all among you can be trusted…Do not be fooled by these frauds…

“Azul Ivana, who among us can’t I trust?”

The old woman stared at the girl with beady eyes. For a moment, Kagome feared that she might have said something wrong, but the Azul nodded and whispered in her ear, “Beware of the scarlet one, the son of Kushaa. I warn you, do not trust The Dragon – Hiei-richan.” Kagome’s blood froze in her veins and she quickly jerked her head towards Hiei. He was staring at her and the Azul, distate and hate in his eyes.

“We must go, Azul.” Li interrupted Kagome’s thoughts as he bid farewell to the ancient woman.

“Yes, yes. May Da’Runa’s eyes be with you on this perilous journey of yours.” Azul Ivana placed her palms on Kagome and Li’s heads, muttered a silent prayer, and gave all the companions a hug (except for Hiei of course – he walked away when Azul approached). Now it was time for them to go.
