Fall Through Midwinter Night

Whispering about silvery locks
Rippling cloak whipped in the air
Fleeting sensation of fear in my chest
Breathless trap of winter's snare

Refresh me crisp night breeze
Release thy razor wings
Prick one's heart with shivers
A crystal song to sing

Ice gripping to my fingers
Companioned fluttering snow
Lungs filled with frigid longing
Plunge to the glaze below

Frost winding through my lashes
Make diamond eyes glitter
Mouthed silent screaming smile
Turn flavor sweet from bitter

Clutch nothingness of midnight
Slip through the grasp so cold
Swirled blizzards softly playing
Of fairy tales untold

Nonexistent wings reach further
Spread arms slice breathing twilight
So spiral down from fairyland
Fall through midwinter's night
