Death Release

Smile again for me
Please?
Laugh again for me

Love again for me
Please?
Live again for me

Forgive what I have done
No other way to go
Understand I had to do it
So many nights ago

I didn't have the heart
To watch you bear the pain
So I did it out of love for you
Before you went insane

You would have gone to Hell
If I hadn't done it for you
So I saved you from the torture
The kill so swift and true

Didn't you once tell me
Of Death exceeding Life?
Release you from your worries
With just a sharpened life?

So please, I pray you're happy
So that I may rest assured
Although I miss you fiercely
That your aching heart is cured

Just promise me one thing before
My punishment will dawn
Vow to me that you won't cry
The day that I am gone

I know I cannot see you
Our worlds so far away
So come descend from Heaven
And my Hell will fall away
