The Goddess of Night – (original concept by Angelina)

Accompanied by the glorious moon,
A sombre, gloomy night
Becomes enlightened by rays of light;

Flame like the golden locks of lions
Showering a silhouette upon
A sleeping world beneath,
Craving for her delicate light again

With her silent beacon of heaven
She peacefully floats across the sky,
Carrying the ghastly apparition behind
Of a ghastly elegant dress

Chained to her outmoded path
She mindlessly shines for us at night
Bearing the burden of time
She travels an infinite path

As the vagabond of the night,
Deserted by the stars
Yearning for a companion

Being the goddess of night
Her strength is nay infinite,
Though once she rises at dawn
The illusion is broken

Dreams are abandoned;
As she elegantly returns
To darkness’ embrace.
