I dreamt of you again last night

Sitting upon the shore

As I watched from afar

Feeling the soft nip of the breeze

Caressing my skin

Dancing down into my palms

You must have felt my prescence

For you turned and stared

Slipping through the sand as I came near

I felt the spray of the ocean

Leave a salty taste to linger on my lips

Knowing what you were thinking

As you held me close

Listening to the music of the waves

Sharing my thoughts and secrets

And the dreams that I have

Of eternally being with you

To be there to care for you

Keeping you from the darkness

That can devour your soul

Never getting enough

Of the love that we share

As we fall asleep

In a lovers embrace

Awakening from this dream

I realize that it was

But simply a piece of the future told

Living in a dream come true
