“Tally ho! What be?” shouts the Cabbage in deep tones.
The scrummy Tomatoes sway on their vines,
echoing the next,
“What be? Why, everything be thus,
when the sun shines so prettily.”
In joy, the Carrots speak with voices softened
by the good earth:
“Indeed it is, indeed it shall be
of all things under the blesséd sky.”
And through its layers, the Cabbage chuckles.
“Ah, ‘tis the truth of the world.”
