My Baby
Beautiful
The only word
That describes you
My baby
Mine
So small, so tiny
Mine
All mine
I made you
All by myself
Mine
My only achievement
Lies before me
In a little bundle
My little bundle of joy
A bundle of talcum powder and milk
Mine
So small, so perfect
I trace the tiny features
Your little face
Sleeping
Trusting
So innocent
Mine
Your eyes flutter
Your mouth opens
I wait
Anticipation
A scream fills the air
I stare in disbelief
How can one so perfect make such a horrid noise?
Not mine
I dump the bundle in the bin
Don’t want it
Mine will be perfect
This one’s
Not mine
Take it back
Not mine
