EPISODE 1: JUST A NORMAL DAY
--
It’s a normal Wednesday on this December eighth morning. It’s first period, and the teacher is sitting on his desk grading papers while everyone else is talking. The sky is nearly white, as if it’ll snow soon. There’s one boy, at the very front of the classroom, who isn’t talking to anyone, but doing homework from other classes instead. His name is Kenny Roseburg, and he’s the geekiest person in school. His whole presence is less than pleasing. Kenny is brown skin, and has acne all over his face. He’s terribly skinny, and his clothes are tight and outdated. On top of that, his shoes, that are supposed to be white, are turning brown. His black jacket has dirt spots all over it.
The classroom door opens and someone walks in. Everyone looks at the person coming in the room as if he’s the most important person in the world. The person is a teenage African American male who recently has turned seventeen. His name is Nathan Crews. Nate is has light, nearly yellow, skin. His long, light brown braids come down to his shoulder blades. He has bright hazel eyes. He’s wearing a green shirt, khaki pants and black shoes. He’s the best looking people in the class.
The teacher gets up from his seat. “Nate, do you have a pass?” Nate chuckles. “Is there something funny?” The teacher asks, feeling mocked. The teacher has a thick African accent, making every thing he says difficult to understand.
Nate begins to laugh, but quickly covers his mouth. He shakes his head and walks to his seat in the back of the room, where all the loud and “bad” people are.
Meanwhile, sitting in the middle row, are two Caucasian teenagers, a male and a female. The male is named Hunter Rice, and the girl is named Remedy “Remy” Locke.
Hunter, like Nate, is a pretty boy as well. He has dark brown hair that is somewhat spiky. His eyes are forest green. His long leather jacket, his long shirt and his baggy jeans are all black.
Remy Locke is a cute, innocent looking girl. Her name, “Remy”, is actually short for her real name, which is “Remedy”. She has bright lime green hair and mint green (hee hee) eye contacts. She’s wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and white shoes.
“So, what are you doing tonight?” Hunter asks.
Remy giggles. “What are you doing tonight?”
“I asked first.” Hunter says, laughing as well.
“But I asked second.” Remy says.
“…What?” Hunter asks, confused by Remy’s statement.
Remy giggles. “Just kidding. I’m doing what you’re doing.”
“And what do you think I’m doing to do?” Hunter asks.
Remy giggles. “Guess.” She says.
The teacher walks to the center of the classroom. He puts his hands together and looks at the class, impatiently waiting for silence. After a few minutes, the class stops talking. “That took too long. Next time I won’t be so nice.” Hunter rolls his eyes and Remy giggles. “First off, take out last night’s homework and pass it up.”
“Shit!” Nate says loudly. “I forgot to do the homework!”
Nate leans forward and taps Hunter on his shoulder. Hunter and Remy turn around to face Nate. Hunter smiles, since Nate is a close friend of his and Remy’s, as well as two other people who aren’t in their class. “What’s up, Nate?” Hunter asks.
“Did you do the homework?” Nate asks. Hunter shakes his head. “Damn… Hey, ask him up there.” Nate says, pointing to Kenny.
Hunter and Remy turn around. He takes a pen out his pocket and throws it at the back of Kenny’s head putting a bit of force into the throw. Remy gasps in an “oh-my-god-I-can’t-believe-you-just-did-that” kind of way. Rubbing the back of his bald head, Kenny slowly turns around to face Hunter, with a sad expression on his face.
“Hey geek, give us your homework. We need it.” Hunter says.
Remy giggles. “Stop it.” She says, followed by another laugh.
Kenny stares at Hunter, like he’s confused as to what to do. Hunter looks at Kenny in impatience. “What’s the hold up? Give us your fucking homework!”
Kenny quickly turns around and opens his notebook. Nate puts his head on his desk, trying to cover out his laughter, however, Remy doesn’t even bother to cover up how amused she is. Kenny turns around after a few seconds to gave Hunter his homework paper. Hunter snatches the paper and gives it to Nate.
“You can turn back around now.” Hunter says. Kenny helplessly does so, not wanting to cause any conflict.
--
After class, everyone walks out of the classroom. Nate walks to his locker while Hunter and Remy go their separate ways. Another close friend of his, Shawm Lambert, is standing by Nate’s locker. Nate opens his locker and sighs. Shawn rolls his eyes, already knowing what the conversation is going to be about. Besides his looks, the only other thing Nate talks about his girlfriend, Anna Gabrielle.
“I dunno man, Anna’s been acting all suspicious lately.” Nate says.
Shawn rolls his eyes. “You told me this yesterday, Nate. Now can we PLEASE talk about something else?” He asks.
Shawn Lambert is the “goofy” one out of the five (him, Hunter, Remy, Nate and Anna), as well as the oldest, being nearly eighteen years old. He has brown skin and has wild curly hair. His eyes are larger than the average person’s, and he has a very wide mouth. Despite these qualities, he isn’t an ugly person. Shawn is wearing a long white shirt coming to his knees, a black jacket, baggy black jeans and white shoes.
“This is important, Shawn. Our relationship could suffer because of this.” Nate says.
Shawn sighs. “Yeah, I bet your relationship is in so much danger.” He sarcastically says.
Suddenly, a furious Puerto Rican girl walk over to Nate and slams his locker shut. “Nathan Arnold Crews, I heard that you were cheating on me. Is that true?!”
“No, Anna, why would you think that…?” Nate asks, as if he’s confused.
Anna is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful face and a curvy body to match. She has long, natural curly, brown hair and exotic dark eyes. She’s wearing a tight purple skirt and black boots.
“Answer my question. Are you or are you not dating other girls?!”
“Anna, if I were going to cheat on you, it wouldn’t be with anyone from this school. Besides, you’re the only girl that I want.” Nate says with a smooth voice, rubbing on Anna’s arm. Anna rolls her eyes and sighs.
“You know it’s hard to trust you, Nate.” She says. “You’re not exactly known as the school’s best boyfriend.” Anna pushes Nate against his locker and walks closer to him. She begins talking in a low, sadistic, threatening voice. “Know this, Nathan, I’m not an idiot. If I find out that you are cheating on me, I’ll screw your cousin, your brother, your friends, your best friends, and just to be extra nasty, I’ll screw your father.” Anna smiles deviously. “If you keep pushing my buttons, you might drive me away to that guy’s arms.” Anna says, pointing at Kenny who walks past them. Nate blinks.
“Oooohhh!!!” Shawn says, making the argument seem much more than it really is. Anna glares at Shawn, who’s laughing.
“What the fuck you laughing at?” She asks in a harsh tone. Shawn stops laughing. “Anyway,” Anna says, facing Nate, smiling evilly. “How does that sound?”
“Uh… What does that have to do with me?” Nate asks.
Anna and Shawn stare blankly at Nate. “Okay, no butt for you tonight.” Anna says as she walks away.
Kenny is trying to hurry and get to class before he’s late. “Nice jacket.” Anna says as she walks past Kenny, laughing at him. Kenny blinks and suddenly all of his books fall all over the school hallway. Anna turns around and giggles. “Whoops.” She says, not caring at all about Kenny’s belongings being stepping on by everyone walking in the hall. She turns around and continues walking up the hall.
A girl who was watching the event rolls her eyes in disgust and walks to Kenny. She kneels down to help him out.
“Assholes.” She says.
“Thanks.” Kenny says shyly.
“No problem.” The girl says, smiling cutely. The girl is very pretty. She’s African American and has honey brown skin. She has medium dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. Her shirt is pink and her pants are black. The girl gathers up Kenny’s books and hands them to him, smiling sweetly.
Kenny gets his books and gets up. “You didn’t have to do that, but thank you anyway.”
The girl smiles. “I felt like I did. I just seeing people treat others like that, especially if they’re not perfect themselves.”
“This happens to me everyday. I’ve gotten use to it. It doesn’t bother me anymore…”
“No,” The girl says serious. “Don’t let them push you around like that. Don’t be afraid to be like ‘Look bitch, you pushed my shit on the floor so pick it up’.”
Kenny chuckles. “You’re funny. What’s your name? I’m Kenny, Kenny Roseburg.”
“Lana Phillips. Nice to meet you, Mr. Kenny Roseburg.” Lana says, pulling her hand out for a handshake. Kenny smiles and shakes her hand. The two of them begin walking up the hall; however, it isn’t long before Kenny’s books begin to start falling again. Lana quickly catches Kenny’s books.
“I think I better help you with that.” She says.
--
Lana walks Kenny to his class. Kenny walks to the door and faces Lana, who smiles cutely. She gives him back his books.
“You can have these back.”
Kenny smiles and takes his books. “Again, thanks a lot.”
“Again, no problem.” Lana says. “I don’t see how someone could carry all those books. I surly can’t.”
“Well, after a while, I sorta got used to it.”
“You get used to a lot of things, don’t you?” Lana asks.
“Uh…” Kenny stops talking, unsure of what to say. Lana seems like a really nice girl, and he doesn’t want to run her off by saying something incredibly stupid or nerdy. “No.” Kenny finally says, after a long pause.
Lana smiles. “Well, we’re both late. I think I need to get my ass to class before I get written up.”
Kenny nods. “Yeah, me too.”
Lana smiles. “Bye.” She says. She walks down the hall and waves goodbye at Kenny. For the first time in a long while, Kenny walks to class with a smile on his face.

AUTHOR’S NOTES: What’s up everyone, and thanks for reading my new series. I have been reading Tarot Cards a lot lately, and in doing so, it made me eager to start a new horror series. I know this started off slowly than TC, but give it time, it WILL heat up, you can count on that. I was mainly just using this chapter to briefly introduce Kenny’s character and everything. You’ll learn more about all the characters, and meet new ones, on the next episode. Please review honestly and give me helpful suggestions. Don’t worry, not EVERY character will be an asshole. Lol. Just wanted to get that across. This episode is short because I didn’t want to make the first few episodes so long. So anyway, please review, and expect a new episode soon. Holla.
