A Sailor’s Chant

17 March 2009
Portsmouth, England

I’m now a fat old man as u can c
That’s grown obtuse by going out to c
I’ve trained in pi-r-c & per-f-d
& Heaved over the side orth-d-xi

Thinking of odds & ends is my delight
As with a sextant on its side I sight
Distances perpen-d-cularly right
So that Heaven’s gates open wide I might

But then I’m damned by my here-d-t
Joking with me in its perver-c-t
As I lay enjoying some D-bu-c
While slow massaging some hau-t hu-c
