Broken Wings

A fallen angel

Taken from this world all too soon.

Life was short and unfair

To his broken wings he fell

Sadness abound and fate unbroken.

To this end I write

We’ll miss you from here to eternity

We’ll go on as we always do

Live from day to day, week by week.

All we’ll remember is your smiling face.

We’ll remember that smile, for it lit up the darkest caverns of sadness

Happy are we that remember the good instead of the bad

My brother in spirit may you be in peace now.

(this is deticated to Eric my friend at work. He took his own life for reasons unknown. May his sorrow be over. For the pain for us is real. Be at peace… For those of you who’ve contemplated such an action don’t… there is always a reason to live. Whether it be your friends or family… suicide is never the way out…)
