A glass heart is the
one who feigns to see,
And requiems of justice
reign oh so free,
As 'twas withering and
writhing
In pain quite so
damned,
I shan't look to the
East,
For there I shall see
but a cast of the Beast,
That smiles down upon
us,
In glimmering disguise,
For 'twas the night
that Adam
Met Eve,
That Blood became Fire,
Twisting and churning
in brutal Desire,
As he sang to them
Ever so softly,
"'Tis but a dream,
Not of what you'd deem
The quaintest of Love,
But the life no more,
Like my Eyes,
You will see,
The faintest of Hate,
Now lives in Thee,"
And to this, I replied
in anger--
"What breathes you
heavenly creature?"
And he looked to me in
that
Feigning disguise,
"I am but no one,
For I am You,"
From that moment, I
knew it blue,
That only by living in
the Great Pursue,
Shall this life
Live evermore,
For I have lived and
died
Remembering those
words,
Whispering clearly
beside,
That my Lover
Had become his Bride--
And to this he promised
to me,
"You shall live in
fear,
For the condemned--
They know,
I shall always
appear."
I ran backward in
fright,
Taking in what he said,
Writhing and churning
With but a verse in my
head,
That man lived no more
As brother to brother,
I apologize,
For I had opened the
Door,
To all that was and is
evermore,
You shall see,
But first you shall
wait,
Eating and laughing
As down takes your
soul,
For this pain
Lives onward,
As he claimed
"The dead shall
rise and
You shall be maimed,"
Thd door has been
opened--
As do I wait,
For not too much longer
You shall see
Oh how He's become
So much stronger--
Long lives this Prince,
In glorious disguise,
For soon he shall
breathe,
And Death shall rise.
