silent sounds and screaming
the stars all fade out
while in that distant dreaming
she begins to scream and shout

crying for an angel
asking for a friend
but only she can hear her cries
her brokenheart won't mend

a longing she cannot fill
a longing no one sees
she's becoming bitter
a cold and lonely plea

people say that they care
but as the darkness turns and twists
in reality no one's there
as she begins to slit her wrists

it's no one's fault, she cries aloud
I fell into a darkened hole
I inhaled the scent of blood and dirt
I fear I may have lost my soul
what warmth she felt began to fade

sight and sound began to blur
I found her lying on the floor
death was on it's way to her

I held her hands as her wrists were stitched
I could, so simply, see
she gazed me through crystal eyes
in herself, I saw me
