Sleepless night
My mind is a blur
Can't say what
There is to concern
Echoes in the night
A passing jet plane
Just loud enough
To make me insane
Tossing and turning
I have had enough
The room is too warm
And the blanket's too rough
The ache in my head worsens
And then there's that sound
Gentle and light
Going round and round
It comes to my ear
Kissing away my woe
With a snap
And a smack
Look, I've killed a mosquito.
