I didn’t want anyone to come between us; I didn’t want to be alone

And so I pushed you away, distanced myself from you

I wanted you to stay and so I pushed you out the door

I didn’t want anyone to come between us, but I came between us and pushed you away

I never wanted to hurt you thus I kicked you when you were down

I wanted to confide in you, but when I wanted to cry, I smiled

When I wanted to yell, I whispered

When I was sad, I laughed

I wanted to tell you the truth and lied to you

When I wanted to stay with you I ran away as fast as I could
