At a party I see

A young man who sits in a corner

Whimpering a prayer to himself

That nobody hears

He is nobody's son

Unnoticed, unnoticable

I then see a dancer

She wears a dress, the boys adore her

She dances like the sparrow

And yet her extravagance

Hides a sadness that lingers

Unnoticed, unnoticable

Walking on I notice

A jester, he is joking

People around him laugh

And he laughs with them

He holds with him a personal poison

Unnoticed, unnoticable

And then I see

The girl who is leaving tomorrow

She sings to herself

And everyone hears her, even I

And I love her, but am

Unnoticed, unnoticable
