Hey there everyone!! Below are a few songs that were made up by local Tucsonans for a contest in the Arizona Daily Star. I decided to share to all of you for fun.

Disclaimer:: I do not own any of these songs, their respective writers do. Nor do I stake claim to them, I just posted them for fun. And for all to enjoy…

Without further ado….

(Note:: The wildcats is our basketball team- And their wonderful!! (Lute) Olson is our awesome coach, and Channing, Ivan, Rodgers, Jawann, Mustafa, Salim S., Isaiah, and Hassan are players)

Olson the Wildcat Skipper

By Richard Arvayo

(Sung to "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer")

You know Channing
And Ivan
And Rodgers
And Jawann

Mustafa
Salim S.
Isaiah
And Hassan

But do you recall,
The most famous Wildcat of all?

Olson the Wildcat skipper
Has a white head of hair
He coaches at McKale Center
Where losing is very rare

All of the other coaches
Hate to play our Wildcats
Arizona plays up-tempo
And always has the better stats

Then one March not long ago
The Wildcats made a run
They made it to the final game

And in overtime they won

Then how Tucsonans loved him
As they shouted out with glee
Olson the Wildcat skipper
You’ll go down in history
You’ll go down in history
