My name is Annemarie.

I'm writing You this letter

To ask a favor of Thee.

It's Christmas again.

I love this time of year.

Everyone is happy

Spreading their good cheer.

But I am very sad.

My daddy is gone.

Mr. President sent him to war

And I want him home.

If it's not too much trouble

Could You send him back to me?

I miss him lots

And Mommy cries alot, You see.

All I want for Christmas

Is to see my daddy home

So my mommy and I

Aren't all alone.
