Unsure of the truth
Though I have been told
As we talk you tell me you're sold
Your mouth speaks one truth
Your eyes speak volumes of a hidden one
A truth you can not admit
For fear of consequence
Or the end of relationships
Part of me wants to push this farther
The other half knows to go no longer
I will stay where we are waiting with longing
For something that may never be coming
Those looks that you give
The love that you share
I may be mistaking this for what it is not
But I want just one shot
To look into your eyes and hold you close
And feel your presence around me always
To know you are smiling because of me
And you alone can hold the key
Unlock this lock that holds steadfast
And destroy these walls so I can love at last
