Who is that girl?

With posies and roses,

Strung up on a string,

Tied in a knot,

Around her tight curled hair.

They look to red,

Against her pallor

To stark a contrast,

But does she care?

Who is that girl?

With the upturned nose,

Her face to thin,

Her eyes to small?

You can’t even tell

They’re bluer

Than the ocean

Can’t tell at all.

Who is that girl?

Why is she looking at me?

What does she see?

Perhaps she’s wondering . ..

Who is that girl?

With posies and roses,

Strung up on a string,

Tied in a knot,

Around her tight curled hair.
