I see you standing alone,
Looking somewhere else.
I want to talk to you,
And tell you I still care.

You turn my way,
And walk right past me,
As I walk slowly past you.
I don't look back.
And neither do you.

I want to call your name,
But I can't find the strength.
My heart slows,
And I stop.

I turn to watch you walk away,
And a tear escapes my eye.
I want to run after you,
But my legs are numb.

I wipe my eyes and turn,
Just as you look in my direction.
You watch me walk away,
Like I watched you.
