Gemini

The sound of foot falls and heavy breathing was all that could be heard. Other than that, it was silent. It was one of those nights when the wind doesn’t blow, and the sky was clear but for a few clouds partially obscuring the harvest moon. It was an uncanny night.

The origin of the only noise dashed out of an alley, and was illuminated by the silvery rays of the moon. The figure was female, with skin as black as the sky. In contrast, the woman’s hair, which fell from the black hood, was as white as her eyes, which had neither iris nor pupil. The only other white to be seen on her was the outfit she wore: long, volumous snowy robes, in a fashion that attempted to conceal her feminine form. If there were someone there to look, they see that the woman’s face, despite her silvery hair, was young, but in a way, still old.

This black-white girl was as uncanny as the night.

Then a man of an age with the woman stepped out from the shadows. Where she was white, he was black, and her black was his white. A face that seemed to have been carved from marble, surrounded by raven’s-wing black hair, and onyx eyes, like two bottom-less pits, a shimmering white cloak, and deepest black robes… He completed the uncanny, colourless triangle.

“Yang,” the woman whispered fearfully.

“Yin,” he acknowledged her, mockingly inclining his head.

“No! I won’t! You know this, Yang!”

“How many ages did I spend confined by you? How many times did I ask you, beg you to release m? You know, Yin! Do not deny it! You watched impassively as I pleaded, refusing to give. Now it is your turn.”

Yang reached forward, and grasped Yin’s hands. He looked into her eyes, and a blinding light, with rays of white and black, surrounded everything.

And so ends part one. Please, R&R! The story is finished, by the way, but could take a while to type, which is why I'm putting it up in segments.
