A/N I'm stilltrying to think of a way to make the last line fit better with the rest of the poem.

From a Distance

I close my eyes and I can remember

The feel of our arms entwined

The calm peace of mind

The smile on my face

As our ten hearts beat as one

-

But when my eyes open

It all disappears

I look at you now from a window

All nine laughing and smiling as one

Have you forgotten I’m here?
